Humberston & New Waltham Crime Data: February 2026

Dear residents, 

Please find crime data update for February 2026- I want to share and celebrate that last month was again another low crime month across the wards which could not have been achieved without all the work of you the community, our partners and the local policing team do on a daily basis. Apologies for the delay in sending out the data which was down to me being out the office on a driving course allowing me to now deliver a faster service across the area. 

Crime Headlines:

There were only twenty-one reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Ward for February 2026. 

On 3rd February 2026, a trailer was stolen from outside an address on TETNEY ROAD, HUMBERSTON. The suspects arrived on quad bikes and made off with this.

Between 24th February- 25th February 2026, unknown suspects have entered victims Caravan via the patio doors and has caused damage to the blinds and the toilet at a CARAVAN PARK in HUMBERSTON.

Between 24th February- 26th February 2026, an unknown person has approached the front door to a dwelling, forces the door causing damage to the hinges at an address on ST JOHNS ROAD, HUMBERSTON. 

Our priorities moving forward in March/April 2026 period will be focusing on Anti-Social Behavior and Inquisitive Crime such as Theft/ Burglary. 

Crime:                                                                                                                       
Seven reports of low-level assaults.                                                                                                                           
Three reports of harassment.                                                                                                        
Two reports Criminal Damage. 
Six reported shop thefts from Tesco / Co-Op / Spar in New Waltham & Humberston.                                                                                            

ASB:
There have been six reports of ASB incidents across both villages:
These are generally all related to nuisance vehicles or motorbikes across Humberston & New Waltham.

Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area in which we all live and work. We encourage all residents to call and report any issues where they live so that we can deal with any issues and step up our patrols in the area. The number to call for non-emergency issues is 101.
