Crime Alert - Shed Burglaries |
Dear Resident,
Humberside Police are investigating a report of two shed burglaries which happened in the area of LAMBERT ROAD and LAMPTON GROVE. The incidents occurred between 12:30am-2am on 27/01/2026. On both incidents the offender has approached a shed within the rear garden of the property and caused damage to the doors and locks to gain entry. A pedal cycle was stolen from the Lampton Grove shed but the offender was challenged by the occupant and left the bike behind before making off over nearby fences into other gardens. At the Lambert Road property, two high value pedal cycles were stolen from the shed and taken out onto Lambert Road towards Welholme Avenue. Thankfully, these bikes have since been recovered by the owner. During house to house enquiries carried out today by a local officer, it is believed the offender has entered several gardens in this area and had been checking outbuildings for pedal cycles or other high value items.
If you have any CCTV footage (including video doorbell), saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offenders please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting occurrence ref: 26*11872 (Lambert Road) or 26*12181 (Lampton Grove).
