Crime Alert - Scam or Fraud

There has been reports today, Friday 28th November that a male has been attending properties in the area of Chapel Fields and Meadow Field in Holme Upon Spalding Moor. He has been witnessed driving a white Ford Transit Van with a Gardening service logo on the side of it. The male has been witnessed entering residents gardens without their knowledge, potentially looking to do work that has not been agreed. Incident 0141 28/11/2025 refers.

We would like to remind you never to accept any work from a doorstep trader, as they are not always honest and can be quite pushy , often making out you need work that is unnecessary ,or charging inflated prices.

Never agree to anything, sign a contract or pay money until you have talked to someone else, and never let anyone persuade you to go to your bank and withdraw cash. A genuine trader would never put you under any pressure and would understand if you needed some time to make a decision and obtain other quotes.

Please report anything suspicious to the police on the non emergency number 101 or 999 if there is anything ongoing.
