Advice - Rogue Traders and Cold Callers

Dear Member,

We wanted to make you aware of possible rogue traders operating in your area. Log 265 of 12th November, 2025 refers to two young men who were cold-calling, offering services of driveway and roof cleaning. They were using small, red van with white writing on the side. According to the Hornsea residents who called us, they were very persistent, but went away when told the Police would be called. 

Especially at this time of year, Humberside Police receives a lot of calls relating to cold-callers, potential rogue traders and doorstep sellers. Please be vigilant for both yourselves and your neighbours, and share this advice with people you know who may not have access to social media or the internet.

On many occasions it is the most vulnerable members of our community that are targeted.
