Appeal for witnesses following assault in Scunthorpe

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following reports of an assault on Fox Street in Scunthorpe on Tuesday, 7 October 2025.

It is reported at around 6.50pm, a 40-year-old man sustained minor injuries after being assaulted with what is believed to be a chair and a plank of wood following an altercation with three men.

Since we received the report, officers have been conducting numerous lines of enquiry including house to house and CCTV.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the men involved who are described as being between 35 and 50 years-old, with dark hair, and are around 5ft 6 inches tall. One of the men is also described as having a dark coloured beard.
