Update: Ward Walk on 18 September 2025

Dear Resident,

On the 19th September 2025, I sent you an a My Community Alert in relation to our Ward Walk which took place on 18th September 2025. I would like to provide you with an update in relation to last walkabout which brought about work/action taken, namely:

x2 abandoned vehicles

x6 instances of fly-tipping

x2 instances of waste spilling from property onto LHP back square

x1 area of overgrown vegetation and areas of concern with ground maintenance

x7 LHP properties with concerns over garden condition

x1 overflowing street bin

We continued our partnership working focusing on issues that affect us all and on 16th October 2025 we continued with our monthly patch audit which focused on the area around Battery Street and Worsley Road.

Again, we were joined by partners and Town Cllrs and we identified the following issues, namely:

Instances of fly-tipping – LHP and NELC will continue to investigate,

Abandoned vehicles – NELC are making enquiries with respect to these,

Neighbourhood parking issues on Worsley Road,

Anti-social behaviour in around the new play park on Spring Street,

Concern over empty LHP properties.

There is a saying that prevention is better than cure and I am after your help.

If you see anyone who is fly tipping – you can report it on the following methods, namely:

How to Report Fly-Tipping in Immingham

Determine the location of the waste

Public or Council Land: If the waste is on public or council property, report it to NELC.

Private Land: If the waste is on private land, you should inform the landowner and then report it to NELC.

Gather information: Provide as many details as possible to the council, including:

Location: The exact location of the fly-tip, which can be plotted on a map.

Date and Time: When you saw the waste.

Type of Waste: A description of what has been dumped.

Persons Involved: Details of any individuals seen dumping the waste.

Vehicle Details: If applicable, include the vehicle's registration number.

Report the incident:

Online Form: The most effective way to report fly-tipping is by using the online reporting form on the NELC website.

Do not confront: Never approach or confront individuals involved in fly-tipping, as this could put you at risk.

Consider contacting Crimestoppers for serious cases:

If you have information about large-scale illegal dumping or hazardous waste, you can report it anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their online form.
