Crime Alert - Theft of Vehicles

Humberside Police are investigating a reports of a Theft of a vehicles from home addresses in the Western area of the East Riding but not currently in the Pocklington and Wolds Weighton areas.

 

These have been stolen with keys taken from the home address.

 

To reduce the risk of your vehicle being stolen, please read through the below advice -

  • Keep your vehicle locked at all times
  • Make sure your vehicle alarm is set if it has one.
  • Consider using a steering wheel lock, we recommend Secured by Design accredited products. 
  • Don't leave your keys or fobs where they can be easily found.
  • If your vehicle has keyless entry, use a faraday pouch to prevent a reply theft.
  • Park your vehicle in a garage if you can, or in a secure location.
  • If you have CCTV, park your vehicle where it will be covered.
