Dear Resident,

NatWest impersonation email

A scam email telling you that your account needs to be 'reauthenticated' includes a dodgy link to steal your personal and financial information.

The email uses NatWest branding to appear convincing, but is sent from a random email address that has nothing to do with the bank.

Dodgy emails can be reported by forwarding them to report@phishing.gov.uk.

Suspicious websites can be reported to the National Cyber Security Centre.

Lloyds scam text

A scam text impersonating Lloyds Bank tells you that a direct debit has been made on your account and provides a link for you to follow if you didn't authorise it.

This link will lead to a malicious website asking for your personal and financial information.

Scam texts can be reported by forwarding them to 7726.

Dodgy websites can be reported to the National Cyber Security Centre.

If you have been a victim of a scam, then report it to Action Fraud or by calling 03001232040, alternatively you can call Humberside Police on 101.
