HORSE WATCH WAWNE: Horse tail cut


HOLDERNESS:

Sometime overnight persons have entered a livery yard near to the village of Wawne and used a pair of scissors to cut some of the tail hair belonging to one of the horses in the field.

It is believed that the same person(s) had made an untidy search of the yard by messing up the hay bales , nothing is reported stolen at this time.

PCSO Darren Bainton from Holderness Community Police Team said “We received a report from concerned horse owners from Wawne.


“The livery yard owner reported that they had gone to check on horses and ponies, which are kept in a field off Meaux Road, Wawne, and was shocked to discover that one of the horse’s tail had been cut. A pair of the yard's scissors were found nearby"


“This is an a rare case in the area and we ask that anyone with information contact the Police on 101, quoting 224 13/04/2022.”
