Officers are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Goole yesterday, Monday 28 April.
It is reported at around 12.35pm that a silver VW Golf was exiting a car park of a supermarket on Rawcliffe Road when the driver is believed to have collided with a red Peugeot.
The driver of the Golf is then reported to have travelled along Rawcliffe Road and collided with a van, before continuing to travel onto the M62 eastbound and coming to a stop on the hard shoulder near to junction 36.
Emergency services were deployed and the driver of the silver Golf, a 68-year-old man, was taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries.
From enquiries carried out so far, it is thought that the man suffered a medical episode at the wheel of his car.
We would like appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, who saw the silver Golf driving along Rawcliffe Road following the collision or has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time, to please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log number 226 of 28 April. | ||||
