‘Suspect No1’ is back on tonight and it’s a series that showcases the challenging work our detectives in our Major Crime Team face every day to solve crimes occurring across our region to seek justice for victims.
You may be surprised to hear that when somebody is tragically killed and our Major Crime Team get to work, they have a mixture of over 40 detectives and staff with a variety of skills that all contribute to ensuring dangerous offenders are brought to justice.
Now that the application window is open to become one of our next detectives, we caught up with one of our Detective Sergeants who has worked in our Major Crime department for almost six years. She spoke to talk to us about how the team solve crime and what it’s really like being a detective.
