BILTON Crime Alert - Theft From a Vehicle Lime Tree Lane

Dear Resident

Humberside Police are investigating a report of a Theft from a vehicle from Lime Tree Lane, BILTON.

The incident occurred between 10:45pm Tuesday 28 and 7:30am Wednesday 29 January 2025. The offender(s) approached a car parked on Lime Tree lane and removed a bottle of perfume by unknown means.

If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offenders please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting occurrence ref:  25*12592.

Alternatively you could call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You don’t have to leave your name and you may even receive a reward.

To try and prevent any further occurrences please read through the below advice -

  • Keep the vehicle locked at all times
  • Do not leave any valuables or "interesting" items on display
  • Remove from the car any items not required for that journey
  • When at home park the car as near to your home as possible
  • When away from Home Park in a busy, well overlooked area. If the car will be there after dark try to find somewhere illuminated
  • Use a key signal blocker bag to protect your vehicles electronic entry code
  • Consider fitting a car alarm or other security measures visit www.securedbydesign.com for approved companies
