Crime Alert - Attempt Theft From a Vehicle

Humberside Police are investigating a report of an an attempted theft from a vehicle on Moors Road.

The incident occurred between 23:30 and 23:45 on 13/01/25. The offender was seen on the drive of the address attempting to gain entry to the car and is described as around 5'6 and dressed all in black. 

If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offenders please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting ref 0500 13/12/25.

Alternatively you could call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You don’t have to leave your name and you may even receive a reward.

To try and prevent any further occurrences please read through the below advice -

  • Keep the vehicle locked at all times
  • Do not leave any valuables or "interesting" items on display
  • Remove from the car any items not required for that journey
  • When at home park the car as near to your home as possible
  • When away from Home Park in a busy, well overlooked area. If the car will be there after dark try to find somewhere illuminated
  • Use a key signal blocker bag to protect your vehicles electronic entry code
  • Consider fitting a car alarm or other security measures visit www.securedbydesign.com for approved companies
