Following reports of children and homeless persons entering disused flats. 

Ashby Officers assisted the Council Environmental Team who have attended and re-boarded the flats located to the rear of Poundland on Ashby High Street. The flats have been sold but remain in a poor state of repair due to persons breaking in and causing damage.

Those of you with children please advise them to remain away from this area, and the dangers to them if they enter the flats. When we attended there were rats, pigeons and drug paraphernalia inside.

Persons who attended and force entry will be held responsible for criminal offences. 

The owners of the flats have been informed and the Council will be invoicing them for their services.
